The work would involve theoretical analysis of empirical methods, with a particular emphasis on quantitative methods, as well as the development of a web framework that would allow end-users to automatically generate their own versions of the document and link those versions to conference/journal management software. Plato actually has a lot to say on the subject, but is entirely absent. Ruha Benjamin is often mentioned, but not in the sam category. Description: We have developed a non-destructive imaging technique (solar cell lock-in carrierography) which monitors the optoelectronic quality of industrial silicon-based photovoltaic solar cells and aims to correlate the images with the electrical output and overall performance efficiency of the solar cell. A MEng student will be required to work with the research team in generating and analyzing carrierographic images in order to build the statistics of these optical-electrical correlations and relate images to quantitative measurements of the parameters responsible for the solar cell efficiency.Materials

Description:We are developing a new biomedical imaging modality to generate high sensitivity images of blood oxygenation under body circulating conditions so as to be able to monitor hypoxia in blood rich vessels and tissue sites as a hallmark of malignancy. A laser excitation source and an infrared camera will be used for the imaging. One or two MEng students will work with our Research Associate to help test and optimize the setup in anticipation of further research projects.Materials
